Revisiting these great products in the Omaha store. We still get a lot of folks using the car GL5 in the transmission and 10W-40 motorcycle oil in the primary but these options will perform better!! For three years now customers have seen improved riding with both a Synthetic transmission fluid and a primary chaincase fluid made for these bikes in particular.
While AMSOIL still recommends the original suggestion (MCV 20W-50 in all three for simplicity) these satisfy those who want to use a specific fluid for the application. Comparing viscosities the new transmission fluid is similar to a 75W-110 gear oil in weight but has the same enhancements as our legendary motorcycle oils such as additives for storage and high RPM. The Primary lube follows the line of the 10W-40 weights allowing for easier clutch and shifting performance.
